The challenge
Most small-town personal training brands look interchangeable — generic gym imagery, predictable typography, no clear point of view. Bolo needed an identity that captured the personal, mindset-led coaching philosophy of the founder while still feeling premium enough to support price increases.
Our approach
Strategy first. We articulated a clear brand philosophy ("strength starts with mindset"), then built a visual system with the intensity to match — bold typography, high-contrast photography direction, and a tone of voice that respects the client without softening the demand for effort.

Founder interviews, member interviews, and a competitive review of fitness brands in the region. Found that members valued the coaching relationship far above the equipment or location — the brand had to lead with the human, not the gym.

Primary client: small-town adults aged 25–55 looking for accountability, structure, and measurable progress. Sceptical of corporate gym branding. Responsive to honesty and visible expertise.
